Total hours required: 28 Continuing Education credits every two years
Mandatory Hours
- 2 hours of sterilization and infection control
- 2 hours in prescribing and monitoring of controlled substances (if authorized)
- CPR recertification every two years

Elective hours: Remaining hours after mandatory requirements, with restrictions on online courses
Dental Hygienists
Total hours required: 14 Continuing Education credits every two years
