Verifiable CPD for Dental Technicians

GDC CPD Requirements

Over a five-year cycle, dental technicians are required to complete 50 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD), which includes a minimum of 50 hours of verifiable CPD. Core CPD Topics

The following core topics are highly recommended and should be covered within the five-year CPD cycle:

  • Medical Emergencies – 10 hours per 5-year cycle (2 hours annually).
  • Materials and Equipment – 5 hours per cycle.
  • Disinfection & Decontamination – 5 hours per cycle.
