Medication Access and Training Expansion (MATE) Act Course

This self-study course is designed to fulfill the DEA requirements for the Medication Access and Training Expansion (MATE) Act.

Participants will engage with material consistent with DEA standards, focusing on the prevention, recognition, and care of individuals with substance use disorders. Topics include categories of substance use disorders, effective treatment planning, pain management, and substance misuse.

The DEA mandates that health care professionals authorized to prescribe controlled substances complete a one-time, eight-hour training program on the treatment and management of patients with opioid or other substance use disorders.

  • Categories of substance use disorders
  • Effective treatment planning
  • Pain management and substance misuse

Course Objectives:

  • Understand the treatment and management of patients with opioid or other substance use disorders

UCLA Dental Implant Continuum 2024-2025

The UCLA Dental Implant Continuum offers an intensive, multi-module program designed to train dental professionals in implant surgery and restoration. Over two years, participants will engage in live patient procedures, workshops, lectures, and demonstrations led by UCLA Dental faculty.

Participants will gain expertise in implant placement, immediate loading protocols, ridge reconstruction, aesthetic zone management, and more. Hands-on workshops and live surgeries ensure skill mastery. No prior implant experience is necessary.

  • Schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pacific Time

Course Overview
