Mission and Purpose

Founded in 1960, the Humboldt-Del Norte Dental Society (HDNDS) is dedicated to enhancing oral health education and dental welfare in the community. The society promotes professionalism and quality in dentistry, aiming to be the recognized source for supporting and promoting its members through advocacy, education, and networking.

• Membership: Licensed dentists in Humboldt and Del Norte counties.

Continuing Education (CE)

HDNDS offers a robust calendar of CE courses, including:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) classes (e.g., February 6, 2025, at the Eureka Women’s Club)
• Courses on infection control, OSHA, and the California Dental Practice Act (e.g., February 2, 2024, at the Wharfinger Building)
• Advanced clinical topics like composite restorations, digital dentistry, veneers, crowns, implant restorations, and occlusion (e.g., March 21–22, 2024, with Joyce Bassett)
• Specialized lectures such as “Demystifying the TMJ” (September 21, 2023, at the Sea Grill)
