Dental CE Requirements for Oregon Dental Professionals
Dentists
Mandatory Hours
- 2 hours of opioid and scheduled drug prescribing classes
- Live, in-person cardiopulmonary resuscitation class approved by the Board
- Ethics class approved by the Board
- 2 hours of continuing education related to cultural competency
- 1 hour pain management course specific to Oregon provided by the Pain Management Commission

Elective Hours
Elective hours: Remaining hours, with a maximum of 20 hours to be completed with an online Dental CE course.
Dental Hygienists
Total hours required: 24 hours every two years

- Ethics class approved by the Board
- 2 hours of continuing education related to cultural competency
Elective Hours
Elective hours: Remaining hours, with a maximum of 10 hours to be completed online
