Dental CE Requirements for Florida Dental Professionals

Dentists

Renewal Period: Every 2 years (Biennial)

Credit Hours Required: 30 hours of approved continuing education (CE).

Specific Requirements

  • 2 hours on Domestic Violence (every third renewal)
  • 2 hours on HIV/AIDS (every third renewal)
  • 2 hours on Medical Errors Prevention (every third renewal)
  • 2 hours on Recognizing Impairment in the Workplace (one-time only)
  • 2 hours on Human Trafficking (one-time only)
  • CPR certification (must be a “live” course)
  • First Biennial Renewal: Only requires 2 hours on Prescribing Controlled Substances and 2 hours on HIV/AIDS
