Course Overview
Treatment Planning With Confidence is the first course in the Spear Education Core Curriculum. This in-person, three-day hands-on workshop is designed for dental professionals ready to go beyond single-tooth dentistry and start developing comprehensive, interdisciplinary treatment plans using the Facially Generated Treatment Planning (FGTP) protocol.
The course equips dentists to confidently identify issues, visualize ideal outcomes, and systematically plan and present treatment for patients with varying levels of complexity. With a heavy emphasis on real-world exercises, this workshop enhances both clinical knowledge and case acceptance strategies.

- Creating visualized digital treatment plans using templates and software
- Hands-on case planning using real-world examples with immediate feedback
- How to engage patients in the planning process with guided “tours of their mouth”
Course Schedule
3-Day In-Person Workshop (Scottsdale, AZ)
- Day 1 & 2: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with catered lunch and morning check-in
- Day 3: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with final application of workshop materials
Each day includes lecture, hands-on exercises, and treatment planning labs in a small-group setting.
What to Bring
- A laptop or tablet (to access digital manuals and materials)
- Loupes for hands-on exercises (optional but recommended)
- Lab coat for clinical exercises and photography (optional)
