Service Area: Butte, Glenn, Tehama, Shasta, Trinity, Siskiyou, Modoc, Lassen, and Plumas counties.
History: NCDS has served Northern California since the 1920s, evolving through several reorganizations. Notably, the Butte-Sierra District Dental Society branched off in the late 1950s, refining the current boundaries of NCDS.
Tripartite Membership: NCDS membership includes enrollment in the California Dental Association (CDA) and the American Dental Association (ADA), ensuring multi-level support and resources.
Patient Referrals: NCDS offers a referral network for the public to find member dentists and also participates in peer review services for complaint resolution.
Advocacy: Through its tripartite membership, NCDS contributes to dental legislation, policy development, and public health advocacy across local, state, and national levels.
Outreach: Members participate in community service initiatives like Give Kids A Smile and provide radiology/coronal polish certification resources and educational outreach programs.
