Overview
The San Fernando Valley Dental Society (SFVDS) is a professional dental organization serving the San Fernando Valley and surrounding regions. It provides continuing education, advocacy, and charitable outreach to improve oral health and support member success. SFVDS is a component of the California Dental Association (CDA) and American Dental Association (ADA).

Membership and Structure
SFVDS follows a tripartite model—membership automatically includes CDA and ADA benefits at the local, state, and national levels.
2025 Dues Structure:
- SFVDS: $348
- CDA: $750
- ADA: $554
- Total: $1,652/year (standard), with prorated options for new members

Foundation Programs:
The SFVDS Foundation (SFVDSF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit enabling tax-deductible donations and grant-funded outreach.
- Smiles from the Heart: Dental care for homeless, undocumented, and uninsured populations
- Give Kids a Smile: Free screenings and treatments for over 2,000 children annually
- Veterans’ Smile Day: Pro bono care for veterans in need
- Multilingual public education: Dental health presentations in diverse languages
