Total hours required: 28 Continuing Education credits every two years

Mandatory Hours

• 2 hours of sterilization and infection control
• 2 hours in prescribing and monitoring of controlled substances (if authorized)
• CPR recertification every two years

Elective Hours

Elective hours: Remaining hours after mandatory requirements, with restrictions on online courses

Dental Hygienists

Total hours required: 14 Continuing Education credits every two years

Mandatory Hours

• 2 hours of sterilization and infection control
• CPR recertification every two years

Elective Hours

Elective hours: Remaining hours after mandatory requirements, with restrictions on online courses

Dental Technicians

Total hours required: 8 Continuing Education credits every renewal period

• 2 hours biennially on sterilization and infection control if exposed to blood and other bodily fluids
